The mayor of Marbella, Ángeles Muñoz, has sent this Monday a new letter to the minister for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, Teresa Ribera, reiterating the invitation for you to visit the beaches and the promenade of the city and confirm that it is essential to urgently undertake the coastal stabilization projects.
the councilor He already sent a letter to the head of the ministry on June 24 with the proposal that he travel to the town to see first-hand the reality of the coastal strip, a invitation that has not had any response, so the first mayor, as already announced, has sent him a new invitation in view of the need for the Government of Spain to execute the construction of the Marbella and San Pedro Alcántara breakwaters as quickly as possible.
Similarly, Muñoz reminded Ribera in his letter that the promenade constitutes a facility of general interest for the municipality as an element of cohesion and integrating space that runs along the almost 27 kilometers of the city’s coastal strip, before the announcement made by the minister to demolish part of this path coast.
The mayor has shown her conviction that the ministerial responsible for the Ecological Transition “can find the date for this meetingwhich will allow, I am convinced, that the Central executive acquires a firm and definitive commitment with Marbella and San Pedro” and speed up the procedures and the construction of the breakwaters “since our coastline cannot continue to withstand the consequences of storms without protection”.
