The president of the Popular Party of Marbella and San Pedro and mayor of the city, Ángeles Muñoz, has requested in her role as senator a Interpellation with the Minister of Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge, Teresa Ribera, where will you ask specific dates for the construction of the breakwaters projected on the coast, as reported by the party this Thursday.

The senator explained that being an exclusive competence of the Government of Spain “They are the ones who have all the information and who know when are you going to unlock this project”, something that will request the minister in the Upper House because “it would be great for the municipality to carry out the environmental report during 2022 and start building in 2023”.

Likewise, Muñoz explained that the construction of the jetties would be a definitive solution for the stabilization of the beaches, since currently “by far effort made by the City Council to keep themfor providing service or for obtaining blue flags, all this work and investment is useless if after each storm we are left without beaches”.
