The president of the Popular Party of Marbella and San Pedro and mayor of the city, Ángeles Muñoz, has requested in her role as senator a Interpellation with the Minister of Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge, Teresa Ribera, where will you ask specific dates for the construction of the breakwaters projected on the coast, as reported by the party this Thursday.
“We need specific datesthe citizens of Marbella need to know when does the government intend to resume the project of the breakwaters and finally give a definitive solution to our beaches”, declared the popular leader.
The senator explained that being an exclusive competence of the Government of Spain “They are the ones who have all the information and who know when are you going to unlock this project”, something that will request the minister in the Upper House because “it would be great for the municipality to carry out the environmental report during 2022 and start building in 2023”.
Likewise, Muñoz explained that the construction of the jetties would be a definitive solution for the stabilization of the beaches, since currently “by far effort made by the City Council to keep themfor providing service or for obtaining blue flags, all this work and investment is useless if after each storm we are left without beaches”.
The president of the popular has highlighted that Marbella needs to have some beaches with the pretension that a city like ours has, “with the Sufficient amplitude and the necessary contribution of sandand that these investments last over time and do not go away with each storm”.
To conclude, the also senator explained that in the interpellation to the minister and the subsequent motion that the Popular Group will register, the commitment “firm and with term of what are the actions that by the ministry we will have on our coast”.
Muñoz recalled that the interpellation “was requested to talk about our breakwaters and specific dates”, valuing that “we have to put aside any interest that is not that of Marbella, and therefore, we need to know what data the Ministry has”, the first mayor and senator has influenced.
