The pianist Ben Roels will offer a classical piano concert at the Felipe VI Auditorium. During the performance, which will take place on Friday, November 19, at 8:00 p.m., he will interpret pieces by Beethoven and Chopin.

Belgian pianist Ben Roels is one of the last musicians to have the honor of studying with legendary Italian pianist Aldo Ciccolini. He obtained the Master Diploma at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp and continued his education with Leon Fleischer (Master class Germany), Eliane Rodrigues (Belgium) and Lionel Bowman (South Africa).

Subsequently, he obtained the ‘Diplome Supérieur de Piano’ at the ‘Ecole Normale de Musique Alfred Cortot’ in Paris, where he studied with the French pianist and the famous performer of Liszt, France Clidat. After his impressive concert at the Salle Cortot (Paris) he became a student of the legendary Italian pianist Aldo Ciccolini. After a time in Paris, he returned to the Royal Conservatory of Music in Antwerp, where he obtained the Master Diploma for piano with outstanding marks.

He made his orchestral debut with great success with Rachmaninov’s second piano concerto and currently offers an extensive concert repertoire, including Mozart, Van Beethoven, Liszt, De Greef, Tchaikovsky, Saint-Saëns, Shostakowitch, Gershwin.…

At recitals, he often performs works by “forgotten” composers such as Arthur De Greef (Belgian pianist / composer and student of Liszt). Ben Roels has performed on prominent stages in Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Germany, Spain, the United States, or South Africa. In addition, he has performed his pieces in Turkey and was even invited to give a master class at Ankara State University.

In China he made his debut with a successful concert tour with the program ‘The Master and his Pupil: Works by Franz Liszt and his Belgian pupil Arthur De Greef’, and since then he has returned to the main Chinese concert halls. His CD ‘Liszt Revisited’ and his latest CD ‘Emotions’ were released by Senzanome in Brussels.

The tickets for this concert, which will be of a charitable nature because the proceeds will go to social purposes in the city, have a price of 10 euros (management fees included). They can be purchased at www.tafestepona.com and at the box office, from two hours before the start of the show.
