The Estepona City Council informs that the young piano interpreter living in Estepona, Celia Moya, will offer a new solo concert this Friday at the Padre Manuel Cultural Center. The collection of this show, which will begin at 8:00 p.m., will go entirely to the municipal bank account that has been opened by the Consistory for the recovery of Sierra Bermeja.

A piano student at the ‘Rafael Orozco’ Superior Conservatory of Music in Córdoba, Celia Moya will perform works by great classical and 20th-century composers, such as Scarlatti, Beethoven, Debussy, Chopin and Albéniz.

Celia Moya Ruiz. Born in January 1998 in Ronda and living in Estepona, her first years were spent in the Malaga municipality of Algatocín, in the Genal Valley, where she began her musical training at the age of eight at the Virgen del Rosario Musical Association, in the who holds the position of saxophonist, and with which he has performed continuously in numerous concerts throughout the Andalusian geography in events of various kinds, mainly holidays and brotherhoods, under the direction of Víctor Simón Mancebo Lara.

At the age of ten, he began studying Piano, Elementary Grade, at the Professional Conservatory of Music ‘Ramón Corrales’ in Ronda, and at fourteen, those of Professional Grade at the CPM in Malaga ‘Manuel Carra’, under the tutelage of Guillermo Carretero Payar. . At the same time, in 2015/2016 she carried out the first Professional Vocational Degree course at that center and, after passing the entrance exams in the Cármina Nova Young Choir in Malaga, she made her debut as a soprano on October 12, 2016 at the Cervantes Theater. de Málaga, under the baton of Diego González Ávila, in commemoration of the tenth anniversary of the Málaga Musical Foundation (FMMA).

Sponsored by this Foundation, it has performed with the Choir for five years, under the direction of Michele Paccagnella, in different venues in the capital, such as the Jorge Rando Museum, or the Cervantes Theater, among others.

In addition to taking part in successive piano concerts, together with other students, both at the Ronda Conservatory and the Malaga Conservatory, in June 2017 he premiered his first works at the Young Composers Concert at the Malaga Contemporary Art Center (CAC Malaga). In October of that same year he made his solo debut as a pianist at the Padre Manuel de Estepona Cultural Center, with a concert to benefit the CUDECA Foundation, on its 25th anniversary.

In 2019, she began her higher piano studies at the CSM ‘Rafael Orozco’ in Córdoba, where last April she obtained the First Prize Category A in the “I Contest for the interpretation of works by women composers” with a recital with two pianos.

During his training he has received classes and masterclasses given by Adrián López Portillo, Antonio Cantero, Hélène Couver, Juan Miguel Moreno Calderón, Santiago Báez and Eldar Nebolsin, among others.
