The councilors of the socialist municipal group of Casares, José Antonio Muñoz Pineda and Laura Ocaña Reyes, have denounced the current situation that many residents of Casares are suffering with the help of the dependency. They denounce that, during the time it takes to process the aid, which in some cases can be up to two years, people who are in a totally unfavorable situation are left totally abandoned.
Faced with this situation, Laura Ocaña has announced that the PSOE of Casares will present a motion to the City Council so that “during this waiting time, people in need are not left unattended.”
They consider that it should be a priority for the current municipal government to mitigate the effects caused by this wait, since this help is of vital importance for many families.
“We cannot leave the elderly without assistance during the time that the aid is being processed, which currently takes between one and two years to reach homes,” denounced Councilor Laura Ocaña.
For these reasons, the PSOE of Casares considers it vitally important to complement it with municipal aid so as not to allow the most needy people to spend up to two years in uncertainty.
“The City Council must guarantee home help while the Andalusian Government approves the dependency. It is for this reason that we ask the current municipal government of the United Left to prepare a study on the viability of this proposal and to carry it out as soon as possible”, declared the socialist mayor.
