The mayor of Marbella, María Ángeles Muñoz, has visited the Hospital Quirónsalud Marbella this morning. The councilor has held a meeting with the territorial managing director of Quirónsalud in Andalusia, Pilar Serrano and the new manager of the health center, Dr. María Dolores Alguacil in which the councilor has had the opportunity to meet the healthcare quality model implemented in the center health based on three strategic lines: patients, people and digital transformation.
At the end of the meeting, the municipal manager visited the new facilities that the health center has set up throughout the year. The tour has started in the Maternal-Infant Unit specialized in natural or respected childbirth. Inaugurated in March of this year, it has two rooms for dilation and delivery, as well as a neonatal intermediate care unit. The main room is equipped with a expansion bath and both are equipped with all the technical advances Necessary for the care of women in the dilation phase, in the delivery phase and in the first hours with the newborn, promoting skin-to-skin contact between mother and child.
The new Quirónsalud Marbella Ophthalmological Center has been the second point of interest of the visit. The mayor has approached these facilities near the main hospital building. The new Unit, launched at the beginning of August, is dedicated exclusively to eye health and its consultations offer a clinical response to all eye-related pathologies in both children and adults.
The Mayor of Marbella has underlined the important investment made by the Quirónsalud group in the city. “I am very grateful for the fact that they have opted to promote improvements in floors, rooms or services, and that they continue to invest in health in a time as complicated as the pandemic. For our part, they will always have an ally because they are resources that are directed for the benefit of citizens. I send my congratulations from here ”, he declared.
For her part, the territorial managing director of the Quirónsalud group in Andalusia, Pilar Serrano Moya, has conveyed her gratitude for the express support of the council to the hospital’s care model and stressed that the group’s objective is to continue growing in the city. “We have developed the first phase of our strategic plan with the inaugurations of the new units and reforms of our facilities and our objective is to continue growing in the coming years. We have seven hospitals in Andalusia and the one in Marbella is one of the most important in the region ”, he explained.
For her part, the managing director of the Hospital Quirónsalud Marbella, María Dolores Alguacil Herrero, has pointed out the involvement of all hospital professionals as a fundamental factor in the healthcare model of the healthcare center. “We have the commitment of our specialists that are of the highest level. At the same time that we develop and improve our infrastructures, strategic projects have also been launched at the medical level that guarantee clinical excellence in the care of our patients. I want to convey my gratitude to the professionals for their involvement in these new plans alongside the dire
