The delegate of the Junta de Andalucía in Malaga, Patricia Navarro, announced this Tuesday a plan promoted by the regional government and the City Council of the Malaga municipality of Marbella endowed with two million euros for the urban regeneration in four years of the neighborhood of Las Albarizas.
Navarro, who has appeared at a press conference with the mayor, Ángeles Muñoz, has highlighted the favorable resolution of the Board to the project presented by the Consistory, which will be co-financed between administrations and which responds “to a historical demand in the area.”
The convocation, which will benefit 562 properties, It will allow the improvement of buildings and homes, with an investment that will be around 1.8 million euros, and in which the owners will contribute 15 percent.
Secondly, It will make it possible to undertake actions, for an amount of 300,000 euros, with a municipal co-financing also of 15 percent, in urban environments, with specific projects such as the creation of a square next to the civic center, the adaptation and landscaping of the slope located on José Manuel Vallés street, in addition to other works in the field of lighting public, steel and urban furniture.
The regional contribution amounts to 1.4 million euros, while the City Council has reserved 368,000 euros, which is equivalent to 83 percent of the cost of the actions. The rest will be provided by the communities of owners.

The interventions, promoted by the Andalusian Ministry of Development, Infrastructures and Spatial Planning, will be developed in neighborhoods “where little has been invested with the previous governments and whose buildings present a deficient degree of conservation that is necessary to correct “, has added.
In the whole of Andalusia, the investment is close to 45 million euros, which will allow intervention in some 3,100 homes. Malaga is the province with the most accepted comprehensive rehabilitation proposals, since in addition to Marbella, actions will be carried out in Carranque, in the Malaga capital; and in Arroyo de la Miel, in the Malaga municipality of Benalmádena. The cost of the actions for the province of Malaga amounts to 9.6 million euros, of which the Board contributes about 60 percent.
