He Carmen Thyssen Museum Malaga For the second year, it dedicates a weekend of free access for residents and those born in Estepona, who will be able to go to the art gallery freely from the afternoon of June 2 to 4, as reported by the City Council this Wednesday.
The initiative is part of the collaboration signed between the art gallery and the Estepona Town Hall, who has already been a sponsor of exhibitions at the Carmen Thyssen Museum. In fact, one of those that is currently open ‘Luis Feito. The painting itself. Artist’s Collection (1956-1962)’ is sponsored by the Estepona City Council.
Thus, the residents of the municipality who present their personal identification document or prove their residence in Estepona at the museum ticket office will have free entry for enjoy both the permanent collectionwith Spanish and Andalusian painting from the 19th and early 20th centuries, as one of the three temporary exhibitions currently open.
In addition to the aforementioned exhibition on Luis Feito, in the Noble Room, sponsored by the Estepona Town Hall; the Carmen Thyssen Museum also houses the Photographic character displays ‘Street Life. Lisette Model and Helen Levitt in New York’, in the ArteSonado Space, and ‘Fervor de Buenos Aires’, in the Temporary Exhibition Hall. Through both, the visitor manages to transport himself to the New York of the forties and the Buenos Aires of the thirties, respectively.
It should be remembered that the collaboration between the art gallery and the Consistory is also reflected in the exhibition of the sample ‘Live in painting. Spanish art in the Carmen Thyssen-Bornemisza Collection’ in the recently inaugurated Mirador del Carmen in Estepona, which opened its doors on April 5.
