The San Pedro Cultural Center will host this afternoon, at 7:30 p.m., the opening of the exhibition ‘Luzyferro’, by Nacho Hercuejo, that It can be visited until November 7. This exhibition is a sample of the work done in the last ten years by the artist. Self-taught and disrespectful of the laws established in the art world, Hercuejo can, for example, mix acrylic paint with sanguine and charcoal, the result being what is important to him.
Regarding photography, the author tries to show that art does not reside in technology and can present images of mannequins made with a Nokia phone from fifteen years ago and retouched with the phone’s own applications, or photographs degraded in such a way that they do not exceed 0.2 megapixel.
Regarding sculpture, it combines light and iron, hence the name of the exhibition ‘Luzyferro’. Create sculptures from recycled materials giving them a new life, being able to be of cars, motorcycles, bikes or any other item that falls into your hands.
The greatest difficulty of assemblies lies in the total absence of welding, which means that everything has to be perfectly jammed together with screws or rivets, always giving importance to the final result. The exhibition can be visited at the San Pedro Cultural Center from Monday to Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
