The San Pedro Fair returns after two years. The deputy mayor of Sampedreño, Javier García, has presented today together with the director of Fiestas, Rubén Sánchez, the program of the San Pedro Fair 2021, which will start this Friday, October 15, and which will last until October 19 : «It is a celebration that we all expected and that has generated expectation in the environment, because citizens want to enjoy and have fun after so long. It is different in format but not in terms of wanting to have fun ”. Likewise, García stressed that “a great job has been done to develop a varied program” in which they have opted for a different format, which will be developed at various points with the different audiences in mind and respecting all the established measures.
“We want to bring life back to the center and that the commercial fabric can reverse the difficult situation it has gone through with the pandemic,” said the deputy mayor, who has indicated that it is authorized, and they also encourage the shops, the decoration of the premises throughout the fair, in addition to being able to have live music, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. outdoors and until 10:00 p.m. indoors.
Another strategic point in this edition will be The Sky of San Pedro, which will host from October 15 to 24 an area of attractions for children and another for youth, from 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., and in which a private parking for easy access. “We have prioritized local artists, because they have suffered the consequences of the crisis, with a program of performances that will take place on the boulevard, until 10 pm, because the objective is to reconcile fun with rest for the neighbors, and also We wanted to give dance academies their own space, which will be the Plaza de la Iglesia ”, he indicated.
Likewise, he has indicated that on the 19th it will take place the procession of the Patron Saint with a shorter itinerary than usual, in consensus with the brotherhood, and has stressed that “a device made up of members of the Local Police, National Police and Civil Protection will ensure security and compliance with the health protocol throughout all days of the fair.”
The general director of Fiestas de San Pedro, Rubén Sánchez, has shelled a program of events that starts on Friday 15, at 5:00 p.m., with a parade of Giants and Bigheads It will leave from Avenida Pablo Ruiz Picasso and end in the Plaza de la Iglesia. That same day, the concerts of Marta Alvarez (6.30 pm) and Alba Molina placeholder image (20.00 hours). On Saturday 16, the Plaza de la Iglesia will host the dance academy Jané (12.00 hours) and at Coro Aires del Sur (1:00 p.m.) and on the boulevard the performances of Juanjo Alcantara (6.30 pm) and Celia flores placeholder image (20.00 hours). On Sunday 17 it will start in the Plaza de la Iglesia with the dance academies Marta Alvarez (12.00 hours) and the afternoon will be dedicated to the little ones with a children’s parade which will begin at 4:00 p.m. in the Plaza de la Iglesia and the performances on the boulevard of Pampering (5:00 p.m.) and Cuckoo and his friends (6:00 p.m.).
The program continues on Monday 18 with the celebration of Elder’s Day which will begin with a concert of Ana Soto at 12.00 in the Plaza de la Iglesia. In the afternoon, the boulevard will host the shows of Sonocay (18.00 hours), Atienza (7:00 p.m.) and Alvaro Prado (20.00 hours).
