The first deputy mayor and councilor for Infrastructures and Works of the Mijas City Council, José Carlos Martín, announced this Thursday that next Monday, October 10, Sanitation works will begin in Mijas la Nuevawhose project has been awarded for 368,485 euros to the company ERVEGA SA.
The mayor has pointed out that “these jobs come to take a leap in quality of life to the residents of this rural area, since they are going to allow connect the pipes to the municipal sanitation network, so they will stop using the wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) that has been causing so many problems for a long time”.
The project has been awarded for 368,485 euros to the company ERVEGA SA and has a run time of 5 months. Thus, it should be noted that the works are based on the construction of a collector of 315 millimeters in diameter and a length of 1,300 meters. Likewise, for Mijas la Nueva to be definitively connected to the municipal sewage system, it is necessary to carry out a second project that runs from La Alquería to said network. This section is currently under contract.
The second project, the one referring to La Alqueríaalso has a collector with a diameter of 315 millimeters and a layout of 3,320 meters and will be connected from the confluence with the Mijas la Nueva pipeline to the municipal sanitation network located in the vicinity of the motorway, leaving both rural areas linked. The investment for both works amounts to around 3 million euros.
