The third edition of ‘Chefs for Children’ will bring together on October 25 in Marbella 33 Michelin star chefs within an initiative that combines haute cuisine and solidarity. This event, which will take place at the Hotel Los Monteros, will have cooking workshops for children and a gala dinner to benefit Juegaterapia, a foundation that works so that the lives of children in chemotherapy treatments are happier and they can face their disease with an extra dose of strength and positivity.
The City Council, which has supported this solidarity project since its inception, has organized a drawing contest in several schools in the town, such as Nuestra Señora del Carmen, Hermanos Gil Muñiz, Francisco Echamendi, Los Olivos and Xarblanca. Among the participating children will be chosen 120 winners who will receive as a prize their participation in the cooking workshops taught by the chefs.
The First Deputy Mayor and Councilor for Commerce, Félix Romero, thanked the promoters and the rest of the sponsors of this event for their “great involvement”, whose objective is to teach the importance of eating healthy from childhood, without forgetting to help those who need it most. “It is a luxury to be able to count on initiatives of this caliber in our city to which the City Council shows its full support since it is a challenge to set up a project of this caliber,” he stressed.
