The neighborhood association Vázquez Clavel will commemorate from 8 to 12 October the feast of the Virgen del Pilar with a series of activities around the Patroness of Hispanidad. The Councilor for Citizen Participation, Enrique Rodríguez, has presented the program of events for the coming weeks, which is completed with other appointments such as the one to be held for Halloween. “In this way, we want to begin to return to normality and bet on the revitalization of this neighborhood, with a series of popular festivals, supported by our City Council through the subsidy plan, which in the case of this entity stands at 7,800 euros ”, Has pointed out the mayor.
For her part, the coordinator of the Festival delegation, Yolanda Marín, thanked the Pilar Miraflores neighborhood association for “their work” and pointed out that “they have our full support, in this case for having thought about business of the area with this series of actions ”. The municipal responsible has highlighted the celebration on October 1, the first fashion runway of the entity, held at the Cortijo Miraflores Cultural Center, and which featured the firms and dressmakers Aire Flamenco, El Armario de Rox, Ana Campos, Enkarly, Ana Mata and Alba Donoso.
On the other hand, the president of the neighborhood collective, Francisco González, thanked the Festivities and Citizen Participation delegations for “their constant support” and has detailed the calendar of events, which will begin on October 8, at the Cortijo Miraflores , with the coronation of the queens and ladies, the proclamation by Carmen Teresa Pastore and the performance of the flamenco group Solera.
The subsequent day will take place the performance in the same location of the Mimosín children’s show, from 12.00 hours. In addition, the 11th will be held a floral offering to the Virgen del Pilar and on October 12 will take place Holy Mass and transfer of the image from the Church of the Incarnation to its chapel.
On the other hand, the association will also hold other activities until the end of the year, such as a passage of terror through Halloween (October 31), a visit from Santa Claus and children’s party (December 23) and a chocolate (December 28th).
