The works of construction of the new building of the Estepona Town Hall, which will unify dependencies and improve services, continue to advance at a good pace after reaching 50 percent of its execution.

This was reported on Tuesday by the Deputy Mayor of the Mayor’s Office, Juan Manuel Ros, who has declared that this construction “It will reinforce the transformation and modernization of the urban center”, at the same time that it will suppose “the unification of municipal agencies, it will facilitate the internal management of material and personal resources and will improve the service, comfort and attention to citizens “.

The municipal manager recalled that eThis work began in May 2020 and has explained that the structure is fully executed and the foundation works are also finished.

In addition, at the moment it is working on the installation of the network of sewage collectors inside the building, as well as the hanging network of air conditioning and downspouts. The building’s grounding network has also been installed.

Likewise, it has indicated that it is waterproofed the entire roof of the mezzanine volume and they are working on it exterior enclosure, in stair areas, toilets, interior divisions and basement. The elevators are also being installed.

On the other hand, the aluminum frames of the outer enclosure have already been assembled of the glass curtain wall and the corresponding glass is currently being arranged throughout the façade. The raised floor is executed in most of the surface of plants.

East building for administrative use will consist of 13,246 square meters, of which 9,392 will be built above ground, including a ground floor plus seven floors (same height as the neighboring building) and 3,917 square meters will be below ground, including a mezzanine and a basement floor for parking with capacity for 132 places.

These places will be managed by the Association of People with Functional Diversity (Aprona) to continue promoting labor integration of people with disabilities. The car park will have the same payment system of one euro per day as the other car parks with management assigned to this non-profit entity.

In the ground floor will establish the uses of greater public concurrence, with the entrance area, reception, general registration and technical assistance in an open space that will allow access to the different departments and that will connect with the rest of the building.

In the the first floor will be the plenary hall, endowing it with a multifunctional character, capable of accommodating different uses and creating spaces for culture, training and meetings. The upper body will house the different delegations that make up the City Council, achieving large, naturally illuminated workplaces.
