The construction works of new council building of Estepona continue their development and already reach more than 90% of its execution, a space that will have with 131 public parking spaces, as reported this Friday by the deputy mayor of the Mayor’s Office, Juan Manuel Ros.
The mayor has highlighted that at this time the assembly of the exterior lattice is being completed that covers most of the glass facade, and that will serve as protection against solar radiation, improving the bioclimatic behavior of the building and saving global energy consumption.
Also, in the coming days the surface flooring works will also be completed outside of the square that surrounds the building and the upper area of the roof, which will house the renewable energy production system for the building.
The Civil works are executed practically in their entiretypending only small details and final adjustments, having closed the chapter on surface coatings and general installations that will allow achieving the official accreditation of a sustainable building with an international quality seal.
The municipal official has stated that this construction will reinforce the transformation and modernization of the urban centerwhile it will mean the unification of municipal dependencies, it will facilitate the internal management of material and personal resources and will improve service, comfort and attention to citizens.
This administrative building will consist of 13,068 square meters; 9,157 of them will be built above ground, including the ground floor plus seven floors (same height as the adjoining building) and 3,911 square meters will be below groundcontemplating a mezzanine and a basement for parking with capacity for 131 spaces, which will have the same payment system of one euro per day for the user.
In the ground floor will establish the uses of greater public concurrencewith the access hall, reception, general registry and technical assistance, in an open space that will allow access the different departments and that will connect with the rest of the building.
In the The first floor will house the Plenary Hall, giving it a multifunctional character, capable of hosting different uses. The upper body will house the different delegations that make up the City Council.
