The First Deputy Mayor and Councilor for Infrastructure and Works of Mijas (Malaga), Jose Carlos Martintogether with the mayor of Hiring, Roy Perezhave announced that they are already for their bidding on the contracting platform of the State some works that, according to Martín, “are very important for our municipality and in which we have been working for some time: the execution of the work of the sanitation collector of the west cornice”.

Pérez has recalled that the estimated value of the contract is 10,768,000 eurosthat is, “a work of considerable economic value, because it is a work of a transcendental importance for all the residents of this area of ​​the municipality, so we invite all companies to present themselves”.

The companies that do so have until next August 4 until 7:00 p.m. to do so.. “In the contracting platform you will find all the documentation, and the necessary technical and administrative specifications”, Pérez recalled.

In turn, Martín has reported that the execution period for these important works is expected to be 18 months and that “if everything goes as it should, they will start at the end of this year 2022“.

An action that already has the valid reports that “have been required by the Environment and Highways” and that, as pointed out by Martín, have “a double importance: on the one hand, on his economic amountoh, on the other, for the problems it is going to solve.”

Thus, the route of the collector of the west cornice, of 400 millimeters in diameter and three large pipes, it starts near Mijas Pueblo and runs 12 kilometers towards the coast and “it will solve the sanitation problems that exist in the entire area, while also allowing urbanizations to connect to the network and thus eliminate internal mechanisms such as portable treatment plants, also avoiding discharges.”

These are not the only jobs of this nature that are planned in the locality, but the Municipality of Infrastructures and Works has recalled, pointing out that Mijas has pending “the action on the east cornice of which we only need the favorable report from Carreteras; As soon as they give us the go-ahead, we will quickly put these works out to tender”, concluded Martín.
