The Museum of Contemporary Spanish Engraving Foundation (MGEC) of Marbella has convened the XXVI edition of the National Engraving Awards, which has three awards and a total endowment of 6,000 euros.
The deadline for submission of works will be open until October 22. Specifically, prizes will be awarded to the production of graphic work to which Spanish artists, as well as foreigners residing in our country, will be able to attend: the María de Salamanca Prize / Association of Friends of the MGEC, endowed with 4,000 euros; the Corzón, SL Award, with 1,000 euros, and the María Teresa Toral Award, with 1,000 euros. Each author will present a maximum of two works that must be made during 2020 or 2021 and executed in any of the technical systems of the print, both traditional graphic art and digital and / or electrographic procedures.
The jury, which will be made up of different personalities from the world of the arts, will make the decision public next November 11. The winning works will become part of the foundation’s permanent collection, except for the one awarded the María Teresa Toral Prize, which will be owned by the Enrique Toral y Pilar Soler Cultural Association. Likewise, all the creations will be exhibited from November 20 to January 29.
