The National Police has dismantled in Estepona a cocaine point of sale and they have arrested a 42-year-old man for his alleged responsibility in a drug trafficking crime.
According to the investigations, the investigated was dedicated to the sale of narcotic substances through the system known as ‘telecoca’. In this sense, the investigated made appointments by phone with buyers and they normally met in supermarket car parks and other establishments to go unnoticed.
The operation has been settled with the practice of a search in the address of the arrested, intervening 60 grams of cocaineseveral mobile phones, a precision scale and tools for the preparation of the drug, the National Police has indicated in a statement.
The researchwhich has been carried out by agents assigned to the Specialized and Violent Crime Unit (UDEV) of the Estepona Police Station, began after receiving several reports that pointed to the alleged sale of narcotic substances, mainly cocaine, in an area from Estepona.
The The investigations carried out led the Police to an address in the Costa del Sol townwhere they identified a 42-year-old man who was allegedly engaged in the sale and distribution of cocaine using the system known as ‘telecoca’.
According to the investigations carried out, the investigated contacted his clients through the mobile phonel, agreeing on the place and time to carry out the transaction. On most occasions, they met in the parking lots of commercial establishments to go unnoticed.
In addition, the suspect took numerous security measuresconstantly changing the vehicle and the meeting place with the buyers, carrying only the essential amount of drugs so that in the event of a possible search they could not intervene too much.
Finally, once fully identified, the person under investigation was arrested on August 25 as allegedly responsible for a crime against public health. The operation concluded with a search of his home, seizing 60 grams of cocaine, several mobile phones, a precision scale and tools for the preparation of the drug. The arrested person was placed at the disposal of the Mixed Court number 3 of Estepona.
