The National Police has opened an investigation following a shooting that took place this past Tuesday in Marbella, which resulted in a young man wounded by a bullet in the side.

The events occurred around 5:45 p.m. in the Lago de las Tortugas area. The 112 Andalucía Emergency service received a notice from an individual who had heard shots and warned of the existence of a wounded man, as reported to Europa Press.

The coordinating center mobilized the health services, National Police and Local Police, who appeared at the scene. Police sources have confirmed to Europa Press the transfer of a 24-year-old man of Irish origin to the Costa del Sol Hospital in Marbella, with a gunshot wound and a reserved prognosis.

The Judicial Police has taken charge of the investigation to clarify the facts of this shooting. At the moment, it remains open and without arrests.
