The tenth edition of ‘Marbella 4 Days Walking’ will start this Thursday in the city and will last until Sunday, October 10, an appointment that will bring together around 2,000 participants in the municipality, most of them from the Netherlands. The general director of Tourism of the town, Laura de Arce, recalled that this year “the event returns with more force than ever after the forced stop last year due to the pandemic” and has remarked “the important injection for the local economy of the municipality holding this test ”. “Without a doubt, it will be very beneficial for our hotels, restaurants and businesses, benefiting our city in general,” said De Arce, who highlighted “the important covid protocol that has been approved by the Junta de Andalucía and that will be complied with to guarantee safety. of the participants ”.
For his part, the organizer, Hans Wohl, has shown his satisfaction with the return of the event and has reiterated that it will have outstanding security measures against the pandemic. “So far more than 1,650 people have registered, but we hope that in the end another 300 participants will join, which will mean a figure close to 2,000”, indicated the person in charge of the test, “which has made a name for itself in tourism family in Marbella and an important attraction to visit the city in autumn ”. “This year we are ten years old and we are very proud of this milestone in which the City Council and the Junta de Andalucía have collaborated to a great extent”, he stated. Likewise, he announced that the municipality has become part of the IML (International Marching League) association, “which will represent a greater internationalization of the event and that in future editions more walkers will arrive from all over the world,” he specified.
