Agents of the National Police have clarified a robbery with violence by chemical submission allegedly committed by two women to some Dutch tourists in Marbella. The suspects, aged 24 and 27, have been located and detained in the provinces of Valencia and Alicante, by virtue of a police claim filed by the Marbella Local Police Station for the facts investigated.

The investigation, which was closed days ago in terms of arrests, began last April with the Complaint of two young Dutch tourists, who stated at the police station that they had been victims of a robbery by chemical submission in their vacation apartment in Marbella. The victims provided, along with the facts denounced, the results of clinical testsissued by a hospital, confirming a poisoning using benzodiazepines, as reported by the Provincial Police Station.

The will of the victims annulled

According to the information collected, the complainants met two women at a party in a place in Puerto Banús and, in the final stretch of the night, they invited them to their vacation apartment. In this context, the alleged perpetrators of the robbery they offered to prepare some cocktails which they then gave to the boys.

With no sign of the guests the next morning, the two young tourists woke up in a daze, missing their phones, various electronic devices and clothes –objects valued at more than 9,000 euros-.

Agents from the Specialized and Violent Crime Unit -UDEV- of the Marbella Local Police Station began an investigation aimed at fully clarifying the facts. The arduous steps taken made it possible to identify the alleged perpetrators, who they would have left the Malaga coast after the assault on the tourists.

Finally, the suspects were located and arrested in the Valencian municipality of Chiva and in the Alicante town of Benidorm, by virtue of a police claim for the facts investigated. The competent judicial authority has been given timely knowledge of the facts.
