Entrepreneur Wiel Gooren has been chosen by the associated establishments of the Association of Hotel Entrepreneurs of the Costa del Sol (Aehcos) as vice president in the area of Estepona, Casares and Manilva, who assumes the position of “interlocutor” with the administrations, as reported this Thursday the colective.
“I assume my new position with responsibility and with the commitment to serve as interlocutor between the institutionslike the town halls of Estepona, Manilva and Casares and the hoteliers in the area”, said Gooren, who declared that “it is a pride to represent the hotel establishments in the area”.
The Aehcos Governing Board have celebrated this new appointment and ensure that Gooren “joins the list of magnificent professionals with guaranteed experience and extensive knowledge of the potential needs of the sector that employers have”.
The meeting and the subsequent election of the appointment took place yesterday, Wednesday, June 21, at the Oh Nice Caledonia Hotel, belonging to the GHL hotel group. gooren is manager of Marriott’s Playa Andaluza in Estepona and has a track record of more than twenty years in the sector, they have added.
Renewal by the Governing Board
Last April, the business association renewed part of its Governing Board in 5 of the areas most important in the province. Specifically, the hotel association renewed Francisco Moro, director of the MS Maestranza Hotel, as vice president of the Málaga Capital-Rincón de la Victoria Zone; Damián Toboso, businessman from Toboso Hotels, as vice president of the Nerja, Frigiliana, Torrox Zone; Miguel Marcos, manager of the Sunset Beach Hotel, as vice president of the Benalmádena Zone; and Juan Miguel Marcos, director of Wyndham Residences, as vice president of the Mijas Zone.
In addition, Silvia De Lucchi, businesswoman of the Hotel La Barracuda, was also reappointed as the new vice president of the Torremolinos area.
