The Mijas Town Hall has started the works on the Camino Campanales roundabout, in the population center of Las Lagunas, an action that will allow this access road to the municipality to be unfolded, and which has a budget of more than 2.1 million euros, as announced by the mayor, Josele González.
This was highlighted by the councilor during a visit he made to the works, where he was accompanied by the mayor of Works and Infrastructures, José Carlos Martín, and the councilor for Urbanism, Andrés Ruiz.
González has advanced that in half a year the first section will be finished projected, encompassing from the Camino de Coín to the Talc Factoryremembering that the roundabout is located between Venta La Morena and Hoyo 19, which comes to improve traffic and flood problems in the area.
The first mayor has advanced that “from This week the Camino Campanales is closed to trafficwith which they will have as a direct alternative route Camino de Coín”. In addition, it has indicated that “in this mandate we have executed the road of Miguel Hernandezwhich will serve as an alternative to connect with María Zambrano and unload the traffic in the area”.
For his part, Martín recalled that the City Council is working to improve mobility of traffic, as well as the pedestrian road safety from Las Lagunas, for which plans such as the one that has now begun are being developed to continuously offer residents quality infrastructures that improve their day-to-day life and facilitate their travel.
“These works, in addition to widening the lanesthey will implement a roundabout at the height of Venta de La Morena which will connect with the Great Park of the Costa del Sol, which will improve road safety in a very evident way at a junction that until now has been a very delicate point, with a lack of visibility”, he explained.
To this he added that “the rest of the journey of this first phase will be updated to combat flooding zonewhich causes so many headaches and so many problems when it rains hard,” says the mayor of Infrastructures and Works.
